ESNL RULESET

1.0 - GENERAL

 

1.1

ESNL has the right to edit or expand on these rules at anytime to ensure the quality of fairness and sportsmanlike conduct is kept in League matches.

 

1.2

League Admins have the right to use impartial judgement on any cases that have no ruling inside this Rulebook.

 

1.3

It is the responsibility of Organisations and Team Captains to keep up top date on any information that is not directly communicated to teams, through our Discord and Twitter platforms.

 

1.4

Entry Fee refunds will not be offered to teams that pull out of the league 5 or less days before the league is to start/whilst the league is in progress.

 

1.5

Players that have an active VAC ban on any existing accounts will not be allowed to participate in the league. Unless a case is made that a League Admin believes to be viable and fair.

 

1.6

Direct contact to players will be mostly through the Discord Channel, so it is the responsibility for Team Captains to keep up to date on any information sent to them.

 

1.7

The following Tiebreakers will be used for teams on the same W/L ratio:

- Head to Head

- Round Difference

 

1.8

Any rules that have been broken throughout this whole document needs to be sent to an admin at the time of rule breaking. No action can be taken if sent after a match, depending on its severity. Proof also needs to be shown.

 

1.9

Any rules not abided by at any point will result in a punishment which is down to the judgement of an admin and their say is final.

 

1.10

ESN holds the right to add or change of any of these rules at any time.

2.0 – MATCH LOBBY / IN-GAME

 

2.1

To contact an admin, use the Call Admin feature in FACEIT. If no response is made after 5 minutes, contact an admin directly through Discord.

 

2.2

Teams will have 15 minutes to complete the veto and join the server. If a team is having tech issues, they must contact an admin before those 15 minutes are up to be granted an additional 15 minutes to solve any issues.

 

2.3

None of the following should ever occur in a league match:

  • Griefing or trolling

  • Offensive or disrespectful language

  • Discriminatory comments to any team or individual

 

2.4

Hacks or game exploit software of any kind is forbidden. As well as match fixing or cheating of any kind.

 

2.5

Agent skins are advised not to be used as a part of a gentleman’s agreement.

 

2.6

Teams have 2 sets of pauses in-game. A main menu pause for tactical pauses and a !pause chat command for any technical pauses. Admins will not allocate anymore pause time for a team if both of these pauses are fully used up.  

 

2.7

If a team is to forfeit a game, the win will be granted to the other team with a Round Difference of +16 for each map.

3.0 – MATCH SCHEDULING

Champions Division:

 

3.1.1

Match fixtures will be released every Sunday Night, in which there are 3 days teams can schedule too; Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

 

3.1.2

Each Team Scheduler will be assigned to a Discord Matchroom with their opposing Team Scheduler. Matches must be scheduled before the end of each Tuesday night.

 

3.1.3

If one of the teams makes no contact to schedule in that timeframe, the other team will get to choose what date/time to schedule the match too. If both teams don’t respond in that timeframe, an admin will auto-assign a date/time.

 

3.1.4

Once both teams agree on a date/time, one of the schedulers must send a reschedule request through the FACEIT platform to assign the match to the new date. The other scheduler must accept that request for it to verify.

 

3.1.5

If a team needs to reschedule from an already agreed date that has been set on FACEIT, the other team must first accept.

 

 

Challenger Division:

 

3.2.1

Match fixtures will be released every Sunday Night, in which there are 6 days teams can schedule too; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

 

3.2.2

Each Team Scheduler will be assigned to a Discord Role where they can access the “contact-finder” channel to find their opposing teams’ person of contact. Matches must be scheduled before the end of each Tuesday night.

 

3.1.3

If one of the teams makes no contact to schedule in that timeframe, the other team will get to choose what date/time to schedule the match too. If both teams don’t respond in that timeframe, an admin will auto-assign a date/time.

 

3.1.4

Once both teams agree on a date/time, one of the schedulers must send a reschedule request through the FACEIT platform to assign the match to the new date. The other scheduler must accept that request for it to verify.

 

3.2.5

If a team needs to reschedule from an already agreed date that has been set on FACEIT, the other team must first accept.

4.0 – ROSTER CHANGES

 

4.1

Each team must keep a Core-3 from the roster they signed up with in every match they play. Teams are allowed up to 3 substitutes to use throughout a season.

 

4.2

Roster changes can be made in the “roster-changes” channel on Discord. These must be posted in the set format of:

 

  • Team Name

  • Old Player’s FACEIT Link (if applicable)

  • New player’s FACEIT Link

  • FACEIT Matchroom Link for upcoming match

 

4.3

Roster change requests must be sent a reasonable time before a team’s next match or else the change may not be made.

5.0 – MAP VETOES

 

5.1

The higher seeded team in a match will get to choose who starts the veto in a BO3 match. Team seeds can be found in the “info” channel in the Discord. BO1 match vetoes can be done in the FACEIT Matchroom.

 

5.2

In the event of a BO3 match, vetoes need to be done with your Opposing Team 24 hours prior to the scheduled match.

 

5.3

If only one team is responding to do the match veto past the 24-hour notice, that team will be granted the choice of all 3 maps.

 

5.4

The current Map Pool for the League is:

Mirage, Dust II, Inferno, Overpass, Train, Nuke, Vertigo

 

5.5

In the event of a BO1, please use the veto format of:

Ban, Ban, Ban, Ban, Ban, Ban, Pick

 

5.6

In the event of a BO3, please use the veto format of:

Ban, Ban, Pick, Pick, Ban, Ban, Pick

5.7

When it comes to choosing sides, the team that picks Map 1 will get to choose the side they play on Map 2 and vice versa for the other team. As for the decider map, the knife round will be used to determine who gets to choose what side they start. 

6.0 – LIVESTREAMING MATCHES

6.1

ESN owns all the rights to broadcast any or all matches played in ESNL competitions.

 

Champions Division

6.2.1

Champions Division matches will be closed off to public streaming. However with an admin's permission, a third-party may stream the match. 

6.2.2

To acquire permission to stream a match, message 'MsC' on Discord giving the information of which match and where it is being streamed. From there, you will be given the specification of what the stream must contain. (NOTE: Getting permission for one match, does not give you permission for others).

6.2.3

The Champions Division stream days will be Wednesdays and Saturdays. Any matches not scheduled to these days may not be officially streamed. 

6.2.4

On the Finals Weekend there will be no permissions given out to any third-party streamers under any circumstances.

 

Challenger Division

6.3.1

No regulation matches will be officially streamed on ESN channels.

 

6.3.2

All Challenger Division matches are open to be streamed by anyone. 

6.3.3

On the Finals Weekend there will be no permissions given out to any third-party streamers under any circumstances.
